Working principle of urea pump:

1. Standby phase: after the vehicle is powered on and the engine starts, ECU or DCU reads the ambient temperature sensor value and urea temperature value through the liquid level temperature sensor.

If the urea temperature is less than -5 degrees, the urea pump will not work, then THE ECU or DCU will first open the water solenoid valve, let the engine cooling water into the urea tank to heat the urea solution and the urea pump.

2. Pre-injection stage: the motor rotates to establish the pressure of urea solution.

Open the nozzle several times to drain the gas.

Pressure reaches 8-9 bar.

The preinjection time is generally 30s-1min.

Flow direction of urea solution: urea tank → suction tube → motor → filter element → spray tube → nozzle

Urea tank → suction pipe → motor → filter element → liquid return pipe → urea tank

3. Empty the flow: ECU opens the reversing valve (24V power supply), the reversing valve pulls in, drives the control diaphragm in the pump, and drives the loop to the state of suction. The nozzle is in a constant power supply state, the motor in the pump continues to rotate forward, and the command of suction is executed to suction the urea solution back to the urea tank from the urea nozzle.
